Contractions
Una contracción es la forma corta que adoptan algunos auxiliares en inglés cuando se encuentran en contextos informales para las oraciones en negativo o para el uso de auxiliares. Para realizarlos es necesario que al pronombre se le anexe un apóstrofe y el auxiliar sin la o las primeras letras
Affirmative
- I am > I'm
- She is > she's
- He is > he's
- I will > I'll
- You will >You'll
- He will > he'll
- She will > she'll
- It will > It'll
- We will> we'll
- They will > They'll
- I have > I've
- You have >you've
- He have >he´s
- She has >she´s
- It has >it´s

Negative
- is not > isn't
- are not > aren't
- do not > don't
- does not > doesn´t
- did not > didn't
- could not > couldn't
- has not > hasn't
- have not > haven't
- should not > shouldn't
- must not > mustn't
- can not > can't
Question
Incluso para hacer algunas preguntas se emplea la contracción, solo que en esta ocasión por medio de un apostrofe se junta la pregunta con un auxiliar.
